chesapeake bay

my quickie sketch of our view (from the beach across the street from us) of the Chesapeake bay bridge.
I intend to make a painting of this hopefully this fall!

the princess' garden mural

(remember, you can always click on any of the pictures to enlarge them)

one day, a couple of years ago, i got a bug up my arse and decided to paint a ginormous garden in sierra's room!

i also painted a fairy princess on her lampshade, and added the ribbon detailing..

finally, i painted over my toybox that i had growing up (actually, it was a care bears toybox from the 80's)
i covered the seat in fabric, and added the same little fairy.

found some more!

more random things iv'e worked on...this one's a boltser pillow that i sewed and used fabric paint for the words

my crabby plate (that goes with the wine glass and beach vase)

and this sunflower painting goes in the 'unfinished business' category!

photo creations

Another thing i absolutely love is making photo creations using photoshop!
I am a picure taking maniac, and have very cute subjects if I do say so myself.
Here are a few...

unfinished business

the 'natural bridge' in Aruba

I found some things that I started and never finished....
With the beans sarting back to school on monday (which stinks, i hate that summer is over already) I'll have alot of free time (hopefully) to finish these, and start lots more!

my newest project

I whipped this up yesterday for preteen beans good friend, emily.
It was her birthday, and she requested something 'homemade', and that she loved sea turtles and the color turquoise.
It was an unfinished table which, i obviously painted, and added all of the beads and shells.
I love it, so now I have to make myself one.

Glass painting

these are my favorite!
I used the reverse painting technique to paint these tulips, so that when you look inside the glass, you see the inside of the flower, but there is no actual paint on the inside of the glass.

My bay vase, with matching wine glass, using the gallery glass paints.

Palm tree champagne flutes

This is a candle lantern, the bottom represents lily pads

And finally, my snowman plate with matching glass, the wine glass has snow drops, and also the word Believe.

tin signs wooden frames

Handpainted tin sign....of the chesapeake bay

3 little wooden picture frames, the sea life frame is stenciled, and the birthday, and kitty cat frames are embellished.

oh you little doll

Muslin dolls I made for the beans a couple of Christmas eve's ago.
I try and make them something each year.
Obviously this was before our baby bean arrived!
They've got baby clothes, handpainted faces, yearn hair for the girls, painted single hair for the boys.
All are sucking thier thumb thanks to the hot glue gun, except for lil' bobs.....since he was a nip-nip maniac!

Here is my blanket bay creation....head and arms sewed to a soft blankie, hand painted face.

and our family of dollhouse dolls, just the heads so far.
Handpainted faces, and hair curtousey of old barbie dolls.

wooden signs

All handpainted by moi, and yes, I am aware that I spelled clothes wrong...blame it on the blonde hair dye.
